Turkey vs. Italy (in Rome)

 

Group A will start the pan-European tournament with a game between hosts Italy and Turkey in Rome. While the Italians will arrive from their regular training base in Coverciano near Florence, Turkey have set up camp before the tournament in Germany. A Turkish Airlines Airbus A330-300 with special decals took them from Antalya to Paderborn and will most likely also take them from Paderborn to Rome for the opening game. Another charter flight has been announced to take supporters from Istanbul to the game at the Stadio Olimpico.
